Peter Sandstrom's inspiration for his work stems from an ever questioning view of everyday life. Influenced by such painters as Thomas Eakins, William Bouguereau and Maxfield Parrish, Peter strives to achieve honest realism in whatever medium best suits the subject. He works mostly in oils and occasionally in acrylic and graphite.

Peter attended Paier College of Art in New Haven, Connecticut. He grew up in Meriden, Connecticut and Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and now resides in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Diane, and cat, Tom.
